Hahaha Ha Ah!

Standing in front of my mirror, ready to paint my face with colors of shame.

The colors represent my stupidity or rather my ignorance.

The brush I use to paint my face, as I swing it left and right, is a representation of the wrong direction I decided to take with you.

The big red nose was a red flag each time you did or said something I didn't like which I chose to ignore.

The enormous shoes showed me how many miles I'd have to walk to reach the one place I couldn't, your heart.

I chose to ignore that, even when I knew that the water that fills my eyes would never be enough to quench the thirst of reaching the place I wanted to go to.

The sagging outfit showed me clearly that you were lacking and I would be settling for the bare minimum.

But who's checking?

I chose to ignore that as well because I thought that with time I'd settle for someone who knew the bare minimum wouldn't cut it.

The messy colored hair was an indication that the situation I was in, was going to be as messed up as the color and curls in the hair.

The many face changes showed how your behavior towards me changed from time to time.

Again I chose to ignore that because I thought I could change you.

Now I'm standing in front of my mirror. I’m fully dressed and fully aware of this look and I can see that this is not what I had envisioned.

I wanted to look and feel like a King. But instead, I was dressed exactly like how you treated me.

A true reflection of what I am to you. Then I realized you had dressed me up just like the rest of them did.
